At the Alternative Education Center, our theme for the 2025–2026 school year is Rebuild. Reclaim. Redefine. This vision serves as the foundation for all that we do with our students. For our Turn Around and Graduate (TAG) students, it means rebuilding their academic foundation, reclaiming their confidence as learners, and redefining their path toward high school graduation and future success. For our Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) students, it represents rebuilding positive habits, reclaiming a sense of personal responsibility, and redefining how they approach challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Goal setting plays a central role in this process, serving as a powerful motivator for our students. By helping them identify achievable, personalized goals and celebrating each milestone reached, we foster excitement, ownership, and pride in their progress—making the journey of rebuilding their foundation both meaningful and rewarding.
In every program, we are committed to providing the structure, support, and opportunities our students need to not only meet expectations but to exceed them—transforming challenges into turning points.
About TAG
At China Spring ISD's Alternative Education Center, our TAG—Turn Around and Graduate—program is creating real momentum for student success. TAG gives students the chance to recover high school credits at their own pace while still receiving the support they need to meet graduation requirements. But it’s more than just academics—we’re also exposing students to hands-on vocational experiences that open doors to future careers. Whether it’s through partnerships with local trades, industry certifications, or practical skill-building, our TAG students are gaining the tools and confidence to not only graduate, but to thrive beyond high school.
About DAEP
At our Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), we believe every student deserves a second chance and a structured path forward. Our DAEP focuses on providing a safe, supportive environment where students can reflect, reset, and refocus on their academic and behavioral goals. Through small group instruction, personalized support, and a strong emphasis on parent and student accountability and growth, we help students stay on track academically while building the skills and mindset they need to return to their home campus stronger and more prepared for success.
